Antoine Rozner from the UMKC men’s golf team has been selected by the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Committee to participate in the 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships.

Rozner, one of 45 individuals selected, will head to The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., one of six regional sites, on May 14-16 with a chance to advance to the finals on May 29-June 3 at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla.

“I’m really excited to go to San Diego for regionals, some strong teams will be there so I’m really looking forward to see what I can do against those guys,” Rozner said. “It means a lot to me to go there, it is a big accomplishment and it proves that I had a great season. My goal will be to finish on the top of the leaderboard and to keep this adventure going to the NCAA finals.”

On the season, Rozner has claimed a pair of tournament titles, winning both the Price’s “Give ‘Em 5” Invitational and the Desert Shootout, while finishing as the runner-up at the WAC Championship. Multiple times, the junior was honored by the conference, earning WAC Golfer of the Year and First Team All-WAC honors, while being named WAC Golfer of the Month for September and WAC Golfer of the Week on Mar. 23. Currently, Rozner’s 71.19 average this season is the lowest in school history, while his career average of 72.85 also tops the UMKC charts.
