Women’s Tennis: UMKC Coasts Past Wildcats in Spring Debut, 7-0‏

UMKC women’s tennis made quick work of Baker on Friday afternoon at the Carriage Club, taking a 7-0 win and opening the season 1-0.

The ‘Roos (1-0) won each match in straight sets, including No. 1 Dimitra Stavrianakou, who started her season off right where she left off a year ago. She also teamed with senior Maddie Schulte for a win at No. 1 doubles.

Making her ‘Roo debut was Marina Albert at the No. 4 spot, as she took down her opponent 8-1 in a pro-set.

The Kangaroos will play again Saturday when they face off against William Jewell at 6:00 p.m. from the Carriage Club dome.
