New Mexico beats Central Arkansas 76-55

Deshawn Delaney equaled his career in points with 22 and Hugh Greenwood added 14 to help New Mexico overcome an early deficit Wednesday night in a 76-55 win over Central Arkansas.

Greenwood went 4-of-6 on 3-pointers, while Delaney added a career-high 13 rebounds for his second career double-double.

The Bears (0-9) went up 16-7 midway through the first half behind two 3-pointers from Mike Martin and one from Jordan Howard, who led Central Arkansas with 12 points. But New Mexico (7-3) reeled off an 18-1 run started by a Greenwood lay-in off the glass to go up 25-17 and the Lobos led 35-30 at halftime.

The Bears got as close as 36-34 early in the second half before New Mexico pulled away behind an 8-0 run.

The Lobos dominated on the glass with a 46-29 advantage and controlled the paint with a 38-20 scoring advantage inside.
