GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida has reinstated suspended center Jon Horford, but the Michigan transfer won’t play Saturday against Mississippi State.

Coach Billy Donovan says he spoke with Horford and the fifth-year senior “mentally and emotionally wants to be totally invested in our team and doing the things necessary to help our team.”

Donovan suspended Horford before Wednesday’s game at South Carolina for conduct detrimental to the team. Horford and walk-on Zach Hodskins didn’t make the trip. Donovan says Hodskins remains suspended.

Horford is averaging 8.3 points and 5.7 rebounds for the Gators (8-6), who won their Southeastern Conference opener 72-68.

He started the first 12 games of the season, but came off the bench in a loss to defending national champion Connecticut last week.
