BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Derrick Marks made a turnaround shot in the lane to force overtime and finished with 28 points to lead Boise State to an 82-73 victory over UNLV on Tuesday.

UNLV went on a 10-2 run to take a 67-64 lead with 3:24 left. The Rebels’ next point, a free throw by Patrick McCaw with 26 seconds left, gave them a 68-66 lead. After Marks’ basket tied it at 68 with 16 second left, Rashad Vaughn’s 3-pointer was off the mark.

James Webb III had 12 points and 15 rebounds for Boise State (11-6, 1-3 Mountain West Conference). Mikey Thompson added 13 points.

Vaughn had 20 points and Patrick McCaw added 17 for UNLV (10-7, 1-3). Cody Doolin and Christian Wood chipped in 12 apiece.

Vaughn’s 3-pointer started the overtime scoring and his two free throws with 1:43 left were UNLV’s only other points in the extra session.
