UMKC Women’s Golf: ‘Roos Continue To Sit Third Entering Final Round Of WAC Championship
The Missouri-Kansas City women’s golf team closed the gap to second place Seattle to just eight shots after firing a second round 304 on Tuesday at the Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz.

For the second straight day, the ‘Roos senior duo led the way as Susan Kirschenman and Micah Radler followed up their first round 75’s with rounds of 73 and 74, respectively.

The Huxley, Iowa, native climbed into a tie for fifth place on the leaderboard after birdies on both the par-5 4th and the par-5 13th, while Radler holds down her top-10 standing, as she enters the final round in ninth after playing the final eight holes at -1, carding her lone birdie on the par-3 17th.

Mackenzie Black and Maria Henao, meanwhile, are tied for 18th position, as the duo each birdied the par-5 13th, while Black added a second birdie on the par-4 15th.

Abbey Campbell rounds out the UMKC lineup in a tie for 29th after an 84 in round two.

New Mexico State continues to hold the team lead by 26 shots over Seattle, while the Aggies Viviana Macias is the individual leader at -1, one shot better than teammate Kacey Dalpes.

The Blue & Gold will wrap-up play tomorrow morning when they tee-off in the third and final round of play at the WAC Championship.
